Guwahati, Gate way of the north east is now rapidly growing in economy. Many new companies are come in and set up bussiness for the north east region. The airport facilities are also much better than before. This is my revisit after seven years. Huge changes during this seven years ago.

Many shopping malls are also coming up.

Health Care group of companies are much better than before.

Beautiful house construction.

Mizoram Synod has Guest House. Its very clean and cozy. They serve homely food.

My School mate with her family at Guwahati. Her husband Rev H.Lalhmingmawia serve under Mizoram synod as a Pastor.

Entry - 105 "Mizo Cooking Fried Pork"

Fried Pork

Ingredients :

Fresh Pork – half kg
Carrot – 2 medium size
Garlic – 1 whole
Fresh lime juice – 3 table spoon
Oyster sauce – 4 to 5 table spoon
Salt – as per requirement
Cooking Oil – as per requirement

Cooking Method :

Clean whole fresh pork and marinate with lime juice and keep it a side for about 15 minutes.

Now boil the water and put in whole pork and steam it around 15 minutes.

Now remove pork from the steamer and cut into 1 inches thick medium size.

Heat oil in frying pant and when oil is ready put in ginger.

Than put in pork and let it get fried in low flame for 10 minutes. Stir it continously

Than put in carrot and stir fry for another 5 to 10 minutes.

Now put in oyster sauce just before 3 minutes you put off the flame.

Your Fried pork is ready to serve.

Serve Hot

Entry - 103 " Fried Chicken with soya sauce"

Ingredients :

1. Chicken half kg

2. Light soya sauce – 4 table spoon

3. Fresh lime juice – 3 table spoon

4. Green chillies – 3 or 4 nos

5. Onion – 2 medium size

6. Garlic – 1 whole

7. Salt – as per requirement

8. Sugar – half table spoon

9. Cooking oil - as per requirement

Cooking Method :

Cut the chicken in medium size, wash it and keep it aside.

Marinate chicken with pinch of salt and fresh lime juice for about 15 minutes.

Heat frying pan with cooking oil. When the oil is ready put in garlic and salt to taste. Stir it continously.

Than put in Chicken, sugar and light soya sauce, stir it continously. Fry in low flame for 25 minutes.

Than put in green chillies and onion now and stir fry again for another 5 minutes.

Now your fried chicken with soya sauce is ready to serve

Serve Hot.

Entry - 100 " Mizo Cooking - Pork Sausages with Vegetables fry"

Ingredients:

1. Pork sausage – 4 or 5 piece

2. French Beans - 3 or 4 piece.

3. Carrot - 1 piece (medium size)

4. Onion - 2 whole

5. Garlic – 1 whole

5. Ginger – 50 gram

6. Cooking oil – as per requirement

7. Salt – as per requirement

8. Black pepper. ( half table spoon)

9. Fresh coriander leave

Method of cooking:

Slides sausages, beans and carrot in bite size and keep it a side.

Heat frying pan with oil in medium flame, when it get hot put in onion, garlic n ginger, than stir it continously.

Than put in pork sausages, beans,carrot n salt to taste. Stir continously for 5 to 10 minutes.

And put in black pepper and fresh coriander leaves just 3 minutes before you put off the flame.
Cut onion, crush garlic and ginger.

Your sausage with vegetables is ready to serve.

Serve hot.

(If you like spicy you can put in green chillies according to your taste)

Note : Depends on requirement your cooking quantity can be increase.

I have posted many of my cooking picture in my previous post. Here i am trying my best to post out in details of recipes and cooking method. All respected fellow blogger who spare your precious time to visit me and those who inspire/advise me to blog out in details, this is for you. Please feel free to drop down your comments and advise.

I will try my best to show case Mizo cooking recipes hereafter.

Beef with Vegetables fry.

Ingredients:

1. Beef - half kg (without bones)

2. green chillies n red dry chillies – 3 each

3. carrot – 2 piece medium size

4. French Beans - 3 or 4 nos.

5. onion – 2 medium size

6. ginger – 50 gram

7. garlic – 1 (whole)

8. black pepper sauce – 200 gram

9. cooking oil – as per requirement

10.salt – as per requirement.

Cooking method :

Cut the beef, carrot, and onion in bite size keep it a side in clean plate. Slide green chillies and keep it aside.

Marinate beef with 3 or 4 table spoon of fresh lemon juice or vinegar and keep it aside about 15 minutes.

Crush the garlic and ginger. Cut dry red chillies in two pieces and keep it aside.

Heat the oil in frying pant and put in crush garlic, ginger, dry red chillies, and stir it continuously.

Than put in the beef and salt to taste, cook it for about 20 minutes. Stir it occasionally while cooking.

Than add carrot, onion, green chillies and cook it another 10 minutes.

Add the black pepper sauce 3 minutes before you put off the flame.

Your beef with vegetables fry is ready.

Note : You can increase the quantity according to requirement.

Serve hot.

Due to bad weather all flight from Kolkata to Aizawl was cancel when i had my last vocation. So i spend my unplanned holiday in Kolkata. We are lucky that we manage to get lodging in Mizoram House. I am not alone but many others stayed back at the time.

Entry - 95 "Spiritual Pilgrim"

This is my first time to take my spiritual pilgrim to Church of Good Health Shrine of Vailankanni. I have known this place many years back but never think of to visit the place. I only heard about it miraculous happening which has been taking place since many years ago. Till today there are thousands of pilgrims from all over the world expecting to receive physical and spiritual healing, divine grace and blessings from this place. Though this place is maintained and taken care by the Catholic Church, it does not mean that it is only for the Christians believer. All people from all community and denomination come here and receive blessings as well as physical and spiritual healing. I have seen and heard that many people receive miracle physical healing from different kind of illness, which is impossible to cure by Medical Doctor. Not only physical healing but abundant blessings and favors have been received by many people from this place in their own needs.

We arrived early in the morning the next day from Chennai. There are also thousands of pilgrims from all parts of the world. The Cathedral is huge and beautiful. The prayer service and Holy Mass is conducted around the clock in three languages. i.e English, Tamil and Hindi. All facilities are provided in the campus itself for pilgrims who visited this Holy place.

The history of this Holy shrine has amazing story. The Holy Water and Holy Oil has deep impact in this Holy place. Everyone who visited this place wants to take home this holy water and holy oil for their loved ones who cannot visit this place physically. This is memorable journey in my spiritual life.

I would like to mention about the Shrine information and Library centre. Here there are thousands and thousands of letters and gifts displayed. People who received blessings and miracle healing send back their feedback from different parts of the world. I am impressed to see and come to know that people really received many blessings from this Holy Shrine. All the letters and gifts are displayed in beautiful show case box. Its Blessed Easter as my Mom and Bro spare their precious time for me. They travel from thousand miles to share together the great joy of risen christ! I am deeply happy that they have time to be with me this time around despite of their busy schedule.

On the day of Good Friday we participate in Way of the Cross and Holy Mass at Saint Thomas Mount. The crowed were huge, people from all walks of life come together to mourn for Jesus who died on the cross for our salvation. We return home at 9 p.m on that night. It really satisfying me of my spiritual well being. I have met some of my colleagues also on this blessed occasion.

On Easter Sunday we attend Holy Mass at San Thome Basilica. The Eucharistic mass was very lively. My Mom is happy though she could not follow english language as the Holy Mass was offer in English. But than i translate for her homily and all the prayers which was said during the Holy hour.

After sharing eucharistic sacrament we proceed to see the Tomb of St.Thomas. We had a prayer and meditation in the Tomb chapel. It is beautiful and well maintained. Many visitors from different countries also come to visit on that Easter Day.

Arrived at Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at Kolkata, after taken boarding pass waiting to board the flight. But flight was uncertain due to bad weather condition of Lengpui Airport, so the flight get delayed for 2 hours. I was tense as i got limited holidays. Finally security check in! one step ahead...and boarded the flight. Huhh...announcement by cabin crew...pissed off...the flight will proceed first to Imphal, since Lengpui Airport is not clear for landing. We waited in Imphal for another 1 hour, than proceed to Lengpui Airport...at last landed!! My family are still there waiting for me...so sad waiting for me such a long hours....

My Holiday is special, as all my immediate family members are present. My Bro and Sis who are away from home also manage to get holiday from their work. So we have lots of fun around. My Mom is the most happiest person as she can meet all her children together after many years. We take family trip to Kolasib to visit our relatives and friends.We have lots of fun all the way......My sincere Thanks to my two brothers Denzil & David for driving safely throughout the trip and make the trip memorable one...

The year 2010 brings positive sign in business sector. Man power hiring on it track back again, appraisal, increment is done as usual again by many companies. Now employee like me is ready to face the future ahead with high hope. Surviving through out the recession time seems to be very interesting moment in my career.

The whole world was shaken due to economic crisis. India also face the same problem though may not be severe like western countries. Just two days back I attended trade show at Chennai Trade Center. I was overwhelm when seeing the participants from all over the continent. It was just amazing! It is the fact that these countries see business potential in India, otherwise why should they come here from such a distance miles away?

The Malaysian Prime Minister make an official visit in related to housing property business too. This will have an impact in both the countries in the days to come. So lets hope for the very best that India will rise high in the days to come in the world of business.

Its has wonderful echo in the air this Christmas season. Sweet chimming bells everywhere, children, young and old, friends, family greeting each other on this beautiful day.

I spent my Christmas at chennai on the eve of christmas day I visited St.Thomas Mount. I was invited for dinner and Christmas get together by my colleague so I spent with them. On Christmas Day prepare special lunch for my house owner family than I went to Santhome Cathedral. In the evening there was Mizo community service followed by dinner. So this is how i spent this 2009 Christmas day away from home.

I am grateful and happy to share that, on this special day I was remembered by my family and many of my distance friends who spare their precious time in calling and wishing me on this special day. To mention my Mom, my bro & sis, My Boy-friend, My Relatives & Cousins from Mizoram, Bangalore, Shillong & Delhi. Friends from Aizawl, Chennai, Hyderabad, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata, Assam & Kerela. Friends from Manila,Philipines, Seoul. S.Korea & Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. On New Year day I visit Annai Velankanni Shrine Church which is located near Elloit Beach. I join for thanks giving and sharing eucharistic mass with other fellow christians family.

I will be having my long holiday by Febuary, so before that there are lots of work i need to accomplish. Right from now, I need to focus on my work keeping aside all festive mood.

This is the season of Christmas.

I went around for window shopping and i saw everywhere beautiful decoration. India is diverse culture of land where we celebrate as many festivals compare to the other countries. This is the uniqueness of India.

This year I am planning to spent my Christmas either in Pondicherry or Chennai. I have limited holidays so cannot go far away from my working place. I am applying for long holiday the coming new year, so decided to accumulate all my holidays instead. Last year I celebrate my Christmas at Hyderabad it was so peaceful but this year due to political chaos may be different atmosphere.

I ask my other cousins working in Delhi and Bangalore through facebook they have their own planning for this coming Christmas. My cousin Florence has decided to spent at Goa. I wish she has a great time over there.

My Mom on the other side miss me so much as i cannot spent with her, she calls me everyday. I promise her that i will pray, so that she will have happy time this coming Christmas.

As I wake up every morning I have a habit to pause for a while five to ten minutes to say a short prayer.

Than the choice comes in my mind either to make happy or sad day. I always prefer to have happy day so I only think all the positive aspect which I have in hand at the moment. Despite of work pressure I try my best not to carry home any work matter at home. A few years ago I work in challenging, high pressure and tough situation, sometimes I recall the painful day and time I have gone through and just cannot belief myself how I overcome those tough time. I remember the book i have read "TOUGH TIME NEVER LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO" so now I am much happier ever that I have an opportunity to face those tough time and situation. I never regret rather it make me stronger each day I face new challenges.

Happy or sad is my choice. What ever I do, wherever I go I can find unhappiness. Instead I always look at things in two direction that is how I learn my new life concept this year and glad to say that it is successful to me. It may be worse circumstances I always try to see the silver line which comes next.

On the first day, as Abraham Lincoln entered to give his inaugural address, just in the middle,one man stood up.He was a rich aristocrat. He said that, " Mr.Lincoln, you should not forget that your father used to make shoes for my family". And the whole senate laughed;they thought they had made a fool of Abraham Lincoln.

But Lincoln-and that type of people are made of a totally different mettle, Lincoln looked at the man and said, "Sir i know my father used to make shoes in your house for your family, and there will be many others here...because the way he made shoes; nobody else can. He was a creator. His shoes were not just shoes, he poured his whole soul in it. I want to ask you, have you any complaint? Because i know how to make shoes myself; if you have any complaint i can make another pair of shoes. But as far as i know, nobody has ever complained about my father's shoes.He was a genius,a great creator and i am proud of my father".

The whole senate was struck dumb. They could not understand what kind of man Abraham Lincoln was. He had made shoe making an art, a creativity. And he was proud that his father did the job so well that not even a single complaint had ever been heard.

It does not matter what you do. What matters is how you do it-of our own accord, with your vision, with your own love. Then whatever you touch becomes gold.

Last weekend on my way back home I happen to catch up with one of my colleague Esther. Though we are working in the same company we hardly meet each other as our job nature is different. Sometimes we met in café, on the walk way, garden or corridor and just say hello and went off to work. She has cheerful looks and give smile to people she met. That is very nice part to know her casually.

This very evening after work I left my office and went along with Esther. We were sharing about our day to day job and have a nice time chatting on my way back home. Between our conversations she tells me about one lady who come to India from Middle East in her department and acquainted with her for quite sometimes. This friend used to tell Esther about her experience in life, career and family relations etc. So Esther also shares with me many good things she learns from her new friend.

Conversation goes very smooth and I feel very interesting and one particular word strikes me “Be PATIENCE in life”. As in my case I am always hurry and cannot wait many things in life, many a times I do not have patience to wait and sometimes ask myself why to wait when I can do today? Yes there are many things which need to wait but in every person these things will be different, so depends on persons to persons and situation they come across. Thought time is precious but we have many things undone and also there are many cases which need time to wait. So all these needs to be rectify, analyze and think it over again and again.

This same thought comes to my mind from the time I wake up from bed this very morning. As usual prepare my self to work and headed to office. From my residence to office it takes 45 minutes. Reach office and work as usual. The day went peacefully complete my day to day job. I just ponder, why Esther did mention again these words!! I was surprise for a while. She too incidentally speaks out her thoughts to me that very day. At the time of departure I told her, Esther we have the same thought today. And she said “Irene, God speaks to you today and be happy” than she left me.

After Esther left, I am still wondering about our discussion today and also my present life. Those many years ago I want to have and do things but never get it or done until the times comes. So everyday I learn many new things. If I have what I want in those days and done, may be I do not know the value and what God wants. So now, I realize God schedule everything for his people and loved one. We need to work on it continuously and have patience. He will provide everything if we trust and belief in him.

While this thoughts filled me all over I am overwhelm to hear this song “Four Days Late” by Karen Peck & New River.

On Saturday night I receive a call from my cousin sis saying "please come to see me I am sick". I was very embarrass and was shock to hear, after when she narrate her situation I am cool down and told her that I will be coming the next day. Thought we are in the same city we cannot stay together because of studies. She stays in Madras University Campus as it is much more convenient for her everyday classes and schedule.

The next day was Sunday, wake up early in the morning I prepare myself to visit her. But I pause for a while to decide, whether to attend coaching classes first and visit in the second hour. And finally I decided to cook some food and visit her in the second hour. In the hostel we cannot cook as we like as facilities are very limited. I understand her situation very well as I am in the hostel around10 years long.

This is the first time I visit her since she change her hostel. Thought she is much younger to me she is smart, strong and can take care of her self. She knows that I am also busy with my work as well as my studies she hardly disturbed me unless in serious matter so whenever she call me I give importance to her request too.

When I arrive in their Hostel Campus I am lost which road to take. So I waited for her at the entrance of the campus for a while. In spite of her weak health she has to come long distance to pick me I feel sad for her. She came along with her roomie and when she saw me she feel very comfort and happy. We chit chat all the way while we are walking inside the campus.We have nice time together, had lunch under the shade trees and continue chatting. After lunch they took me around of their university campus, its so beautiful and greeny environment. It reminds me of my college days when I saw many young college students hanging around inside the campus.

Before I depart, I advise her to take extra care and to take medic on time and promise her to see again next weekend.

I am preparing for the upcoming Events and I have to complete all the in invitation to be sent out on time. So work very hard that no pending job. I always like to finish my job daily and start new assignment everyday. If I have any pending job it always disturbed me during my sleep so always I have a habit to complete whatever possible everyday. Work seven days without proper rest and finally complete and get it done...hurray!! and my Boss immediately flies off to Europe and here I am..

Now I feel deserve to hang out to exit myself and relax. I decided to hang out at park where I can feel close to green environment of nature. Admiring the architect landscapes design and it beautiful flowers, shrub and trees makes me feel relax. Walking along site of coastal area with bare foot and the sea wind blows gently, blew away all my tiredness. After long distance walk get in to a wonderful restaurant to fill my hungry stomach...yummy...very great appetite to eat….

There are more than 2000 person who regitered themselves under MODE to donate their organs. Mr.M.K Stalin and His wife are the first people to registered themselves in this MODE function.

From my personal point of view this has special impact in the field of health care. The new advancement and higher technology in the field of health care sector has brought trememdouse life saving by organs transplant in this present world. Though the price may be high but patient pay the price to live long. There is also negative and positive aspect in organ donation. So it depends on each person concience to decide whether to donate organs in proper channel or not.

Every year, more than 100,000 Indians suffer from end-stage renal disease, but only 100 get kidneys from deceased donors. However, through private initiatives such as the MIOT Organ Drive (MODE) launched by deputy chief minister M K Stalin on Friday, private healthcare providers hope to chip in.

Here goes my first trial and attempt in Cooking South Indian Food under the guidance of Ms.Geeta.It's very exciting and interesting!! I have spend July 3rd Weekend in learning how to cook South Indian Food deliciously. I am very fascinated in cooking different cultures of food, so where ever I go I am trying to learn something new. South India is famous in spices, so almost all their dishes are blended well with different spices and colors. The aroma is commonly very strong and pungent. Since my traditional cooking style is very different I am very interest to learn new recipe. Coconut and curry leaves are one of the important ingredients in every dish. I was taught how to remove the coconut hard skin than break it open and finally peel out the white tender coconut to mix with dish. It takes quite sometime in removing coconut skin but the rest of the other ingredient to be used in cooking does not take so much time. As this is the first trial it takes me one and half hour to complete it.

Thanks to Ms.Geeta for spending her valuable time. I will always keep in my heart of what I have learned from the land of South India. So looking forward someday to cook for my family and friends who like to taste South Indian Food.

I like the Japanese and Chinese style of landscapes design. They plant beautiful and unique species of green trees and flowers which is suitable with the climate and location. Just pondering back my childhood days, me and my sister make small flower garden near our house. Though we are not great designer like professional but then we plant according to the garden size so that it look beautiful when it blooms. I remember that they make us so happy when the flower blooms. We planted variety of flower and also trees surround our house we water them every morning and evening during the sibling time. But now I am so far away from my house that I become sweet memories of our small home garden.

My residence at Chennai is surrounded with many trees. It is located in residential area in the heart of the city where all communication of transports, shopping mall, restaurant etc is easy and convenient. Along the road way trees are planted which provide shades during the hot scourging sun. The house is simple and clean. Most of all I like the house owner’s wife who is always concern, loving, caring, cheerful and sharing personality. She is my good friend as well. In my holidays I spend sometimes with her cooking and chit chat together to past the time. I learn Tamil language from her which is very interesting but hard to pronounce many words but any way I enjoy. “Weekend” This word seems to be very common in this modern generation as most of the working group awaited to relax and exit themselves. After continuous work from Monday to Friday and sometimes on Saturday too its really hectic and feel very stress, so I usually go out and find a way out to relax and enjoy myself. I sometimes go to sea side, pub, bars, parks, country ride with friends, visiting friends’ house and eating / dinning in the restaurant.

I like Oriental food rather than Indian food. So most of the times for dinner I choose to have oriental food. Here I would like to share my KFC food experience. The restaurant is clean with enough space, interior design is beautiful, the staffs are good and the food they serve is good and tasty. Since they are specializing in Chicken fry it really tastes excellent.

Christ Church is located inside the Loyala College Campus at Chennai City. This Church was completed in 1933. It is Gothic Design and built by France Missionary of Jesuit Order. Many Christian all over the world come and visit as this church domain the History of Christians in Madras. Besides Santhome Cathedral Christ Church is the most significant Historic Church in Madras.

Everyday there is Eucharistic Mass attended by the College Students as well as the other visitors / Christians who come for the Pilgrimage to Madras. The Church is surrounded with complete serene silence with many trees and woods. The Architect of the Church design is so beautiful and unique which attracts the visitors to see. Beside the Church, there is Pioneer Missionaries Memorial Stone of the French Nationals who come to Madras some 100 years back.

Loyala College is among the famous well known in the city. The College offer many branch of studies and also international degrees. Students from different country do come to study their degree course. The Campus building is well design with international standard infrastructure and facilities. Currently my cousin brother had just completed his UG Course and he will continue his PG Course in the year to come.

I took a break and travel to M.P to wrap up my personal work which I have left last year and also meet my ex-colleague from my last company. I start my journey from Chennai by train and had very fun journey. I was feeling lonesome as I boarded the train but my travel companions are very cheerful and fun loving. Despite the long distance its very interesting journey. Since it is summer season the temperature is extremely hot with dry wind.

As I reach my destination, I put up in my friend house. Since I had very limited time I call my friend to meet them up immediately. During my stay in M.P the most memorable person is my ex-house Owner, so I take time to meet their family too. They are really very nice and loving to me while I was there at M.P. They prepare North Indian traditional meal. I take sometimes to chat with them and had good time with them as usual.

The Mizo Community in Chennai come together for Praise and Worship every Sunday. It does not matter what Christian denomination we belong, as long as we are Mizo we can participate and join them. The community share and pray together as a Christians.

I am glad to know that this kind of practice is going on for many years at Chennai. As a community we come to know one another which is very important once we are away from our home state. After the Church Service is over they will serve tea which is one of the important traditions in Mizo Society/Community. Especially for me I am glad to meet my cousins whom I have not met them years, here we come together and meet more often than our hometown

One fine morning as usual wake up go for exercise, take shower, take breakfast and go to work. On this particular day I am relax as I do not have so much work, so keep on popping of my friends blogs and reading the news around the world from different sites. My phone rang and when I saw the caller name I am very excited to pick up hmmm… I say Hello… It was one of my hostel roommates while I did my graduation in Shillong. I did not meet her since 7 years, but we always keep in touch through the phone and share our life around.

Breaking news!!! Her Wedding Day is on 18th April 2009. Overwhelm to hear the news!! Great Congratulation!! I answer. Though I am far far away distance, she still remember me to invites for this grand celebration and special occasion. The friendship which we share together is so incredible that its beyond measures. I wish I could join her on this special day. But the only way I can join is through prayer. May God bless them abundantly with all the happiness they deserve in the days to come.

On the other hand, after a months gap now I have a chance to fulfill my in-depth desire that is to complete my MBA or CS. So now I have met all the relevant authority regarding my further studies and all the things are on the positive side. Since I have relevant work experience to take up this course so I keep focus for many years and finally the year has turn up to continue my long desire dreams. I thank God for giving me life, guidance, protection, patience and show me the way to reach my unending dreams. Thank you JESUS and be with me and walk with me always in the days to come.

Mizo Chennai Welfare Association (MCWA) Farewell for Out Going Students for the Batch of 2008 – 09 was held at St. Peter’s Hall. After I relocate to Chennai this is the first time I attend the Mizo get together due to busy working schedule I really do not have so much time for other extra activities.

The first session starts with Thanks Giving, followed by group singing, entertainment solo, duet and band group. Maximum of the members of Mizo Chennai are Students in different field and working group are minimum but in spite of small age they perform very well in all their activities and full fill their responsibilities in their own show. The group band called “The ZUZIZ” brings amazing performance and all the members performed well in their own part. As I am crazy of keyboardist/pianist my maximum attention goes to the band keyboardist/pianist.

Seeing the individual’s items performance it reminds me of my college days few years ago where I do participate in solo competition which was organized by the college during college week. I like singing and do sing a lot when I am inside the house and in the church. I like playing guitar too. I like sentimental and soft rock music.

Last not the least the most important in Mizo Get Together the closing session with Common Meal called “RUAI”. They serve Boiled Pork with Cabbage!!! Others menu like green salad and vegetables boil….Fantastic and good taste! as did not eat more than a year I really enjoy the meal and the programmed as well.

Choosing Life Partner

Sometimes you are just confused as to whether you really love the person you are dating or it is mere attraction and it is difficult to make a decision. You don't know how can you be sure you have the picked the right one? Well, the first thing you need to do is honestly ask yourself why you love or are with your partner? You must understand your heart and what it says. Does your heart beat for your partner? Do you feel totally devastated when he is not around? You should know the difference between love and infatuation. When it is spending your whole life with a person do not go in for a blind love. Don't build a relationship upon fear, insecurity and pity. It will never last and will only give unhappiness and sorrow.So the question still remains, how do you choose the right partner? Following are a few tips that will definitely help us to understand love and help us make the important decision as to choosing the right partner:

1. Common Interests

For a compatible relationship we should have common interests. We have something in common with our partner in order to be able to be with him/her and do things together. Physically you might have great relations, but does that really matter? When two people have different interests, one person usually ends up sacrificing their desires for the other person in order to live a happy life, or else or you end up living completely separate lives. Therefore to avoid any future complications and creating ego problems it is better to always analyze your interests and desire and see whether they match.

2. Ambitions

It is also necessary to preserve our individuality and make it clear that we have a life and ambition. Though women are supposed to stay at home and take care of kids and home but if you are an ambitious kind of a person then always find out whether your partner and in-laws are comfortable with it. Are they willing to let you have that career you have always wanted?

3. Intellect

The next thing we have to look out for is whether his/her partner and his/her intellect match. It is very difficult to communicate with a dull or insensitive person. Ask these questions to yourself. When you talk to him/her, is he/she on the same level as you? How long does it take him to answer your question? Do you get bored because he/she answers everything else under the sun rather than the question you asked him/her? Does he/her understand you when you speak? Can you really talk to him about absolutely anything? This may sound crazy but imagine living your entire life with someone who doesn't understand you and who frustrates you to no end by his speed of communication and just doesn't get it when you are trying to explain something to him/her?

4. Principles

If you are a person who goes by principles and strictly follows them and your partner has no principles then there is bound to be problems in your relationship. You have to straighten it out before plunging into marriage.

Besides this points there are so many other things which can be added and this will depends upon every individuals.

St Thomas, it`s believed, was the first Christian to set foot on Indian shores. One of the Christ`s Apostles [the famous Doubting Thomas], he arrived in India within a couple of decades of the crucifixion. Having landed on the Kerala coast, St. Thomas moved to what is now Chennai and is believed to have lived in a tiny cave atop this hill. Today asimple church built by the Portuguese in the 16th century forms the entranceto the cave which houses a large image of St. Thomas.

It is said that he used to live in a cave on a hill. He spent the last years of his life at a small hill that is known as the Little Mount area of today.He escaped from his cave to take shelter on a nearby hill, but here he was shot by an arrow and died. Since then the Hill where he had died has become St. Thomas Mount.

An important fact regarding the cathedral is that, it is the second only church in the world that has been erected over the burial place of an apostle. The cathedral holds a 3 feet high statue of Virgin Mary, believed to be imported from Portugal in the year 1543 A.D. The reaching spire goes as high as 50 metres and the width of the nave is about 10 metres. The cathedral is provided with stained glass and 14 wood plaques that depict St. Thomas' encountered with the resurrected Christ. The cathedral, which was blessed in 1896 A.D. and raised to the dignity of a basilica by Pope Pius XII, in the year 1956 gathers pilgrims from far off places. The renovation works from last decade has restored the damages caused to the monument. The cathedral walls might have been weakened but the the glory is still there.

NEW YEAR at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

As i am relocate to Chennai earlier known as Madras at Tamil Nadu, i attend New year Day celebration at St. Thomas Basilica at Mylapore. Its a unique celebration and am happy to see many faithful believers from many nationals around the world on this New Year Day 2009.

The tomb of St. Thomas, one of the twelve Apostles (disciples) of Jesus Christ, attracts people from all over the world. It is a pilgrim centre for Christians, especially during Christmas and Easter seasons. Its history, battles fought over the mortal remains of the saint, burial, excavation, relocation of the tomb, etc., all form part of a high drama the church witnessed over the centuries

Today Santhome has in its possession only a piece of bone and the metal spearhead with which the saint was assassinated in Madras. These are kept under the safe custody of the priests. It is exposed for public veneration during the annual solemn novena for the feast of St. Thomas on July 3rd every year.
